Exam dates

The Northern Territory Architects Board conducts Architectural Practice Examinations (APE) on behalf of the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia in Darwin each year. The examination dates and application lodgement dates for 2026 are listed below.

Exam information, guides, log books and resources are available from the AACA website. Research of this site is recommended prior to submitting an application and should be checked for any updates on log book and application requirements.

To register for an exam, you will need to provide the following:

Exam fee part 1 and 2 is $525
(for second APE within 12 months $245)
Payments are collected by phone only

Application fee for part 3 is $395 Form is available from the registrar
Statutory declaration Available from the NT Government website
